The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of our food products, and supporting the team in maintaining FSQA-related documentation. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our food safety and quality standards.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Sample Collection and Preparation:
Collect samples of raw materials, finished products, and other materials.
Prepare and label samples for analysis according to established protocols.
Laboratory Testing:
Conduct various laboratory tests, including but not limited to microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses.
Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation accurately and safely.
Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Data Analysis:
Interpret and analyze test results to determine compliance with established quality and safety standards.
Identify and report any deviations or non-conformances.
Quality Control:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures and protocols.
Monitor and report any quality issues or discrepancies. Assist with investigations and customer complaints.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all tests, analyses, and quality control activities.
Assist in the organization and management of laboratory documentation.
Assist in maintaining other food safety and quality related documents.
Sample Retention:
Properly store and catalog retained samples for future reference.
Safety and Hygiene:
Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a food testing or quality assurance laboratory is a plus.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing methods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position primarily involves working in a laboratory setting, which may require standing, lifting, and the use of laboratory equipment and chemicals. The technician should be prepared to always follow safety and hygiene protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
