What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Process Technician position at Trademark Plastics, Inc.?

SUMMARY:
o Primary job function is to assist production and to assure molds are being
maintained on schedule and in accordance with Trademark specifications and
customer expectations.
o Work with management to improve level of care, maintenance and insure
continuous improvement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Follow out Safety Requirements & Safety Training Program Procedures.
o Assist molding Techs in lubing, cleaning, and daily mold maintenance on
presses.
o Communicate with molding techs to determine needs and gaps and
communicate to management.
o Maintain supply of grease, wipes, and any necessary tools to adequately
perform mold maintenance across all 3 shifts.
o Ensure mold maintenance logs are properly kept and maintained.
o Periodically interact with two other shifts.
o Inspect molds after set-up is completed for the following: water leaks, loose
water hose clamps, improper k.o. bars or any mechanical malfunction of the
mold that may prevent a proper production run.
o Adhere to all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
o Continuously perform checks and monitor mold surface temperatures.
o Will be required to check wear and tear or any parts of the tool.
o Able to perform change overs/configuration changes that are able to be
changed at the press enabling the tool to keep running and not have to be
pulled out of the press to lose production time.
o Will be responsible for developing a set up kits for every mold. Include hose
kits and add equipment needed.
o During down time or completion of duties this position will allow to train on
Routsis and also to train with technicians on process related trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
o Knowledge of IQMS a plus.
o Ability to understand Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good
Documentation Practices (GDP).
o Maintain cleanroom, standard practices, housekeeping according to Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
o Ability to pay close attention to detail.
o Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
o Must be a team player.
o Willing to submit to background/drug screen check.
o Great communication skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

DECISION MAKING:
o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

COMMUNICATION:
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization. Must speak, read, and write English,
bilingual a plus.
