JOB SUMMARY

The Kids Director/Pastor is a frontline leader responsible for Traders Point Kids at their campus, including leadership that impacts attendance growth, Difference Maker engagement, a healthy invite culture and discipleship. The Kids Director/Pastor casts vision, builds and equips teams and creates engaging environments where kids, families and volunteers encounter Jesus and take next steps in their faith.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct staff supervisory responsibilities but will oversee, equip, and mobilize volunteer teams.

DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

• Build and Mobilize an Elite Volunteer Team:
  • Recruit, equip, and deploy a highly engaged team of leaders for all Traders Point Kids environments (Birth to Grade 6 and Disabilities Ministry)
  • Lead leaders, not just doers. Build a pipeline where volunteers grow in leadership and take ownership.
  • Create a culture of empowerment where volunteers feel equipped and inspired to grow spiritually.
• Lead & Execute Excellent TPK Environments:
  • Ensure safe, consistent, high-impact environments that align with Traders Point Kids vision and strategy.
  • Clear the way by removing barriers that keep kids from encountering Jesus (Birth to Grade 6 and Disabilities Ministry)
  • Ensure effective implementation of aligned Traders Point Kids content to help kids experience Jesus at their level
  • Stay on the frontlines of ministry trends and engagement strategies to create dynamic experiences.
• Contribute Support and Leadership to Traders Point Kids across Indy and Beyond:
  • Contribute to planning and execution of Traders Point Kids events (SuperStart, Kids Camp)
  • Align with and champion Traders Point Kids strategic priorities and centralized projects
  • Provide leadership to the overall campus team
  • Provide pastoral leadership and care to the campus parents, kids, and volunteers
  • If at a portable campus, be fully engaged in set-up and teardown, ensuring site is ready for weekend gatherings.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Serve under the general oversight of and report directly to the Campus Pastor
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Kids Pastor, Kids Operations Pastor, Kids Programming Pastor, and the Traders Point Kids staff team
• Will participate as a full member of the Traders Point Kids staff, including attending all meetings and required special events

• Experience in kids ministry, family ministry or a leadership role in a high-growth environment
• A track record of developing leaders and mobilizing & multiplying teams
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Willingness to perform pastoral duties as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree required or 3 years of equivalent experience
• Excellent leadership skills with very strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• 3 years of experience leading high-impact teams and developing leaders

• Stand, move, and engage actively in a fast-paced environment
• Lead through communication, coaching and hands-on involvement
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., portable campuses only

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Work Schedule: Depending on the service times at your campus, this role follows a flexible schedule. Either Saturday-Wednesday or Sunday-Thursday, depending on the needs of the week. Schedule assignments will vary and be communicated in advance.
