The ideal candidate will have an outstanding 10-year driving record, flagging certification, knowledge of setting up traffic, and an understanding of the cost associated with doing so. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen sense of responsibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Communicate effectively with construction teams to coordinate site activities and manage traffic disruptions.
- Monitor and evaluate traffic patterns, adjusting as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assist in planning and implementing traffic control measures.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam for site layout planning and HeavyBid for estimating project costs related to traffic management.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors as needed for traffic control equipment and services.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic control measures implemented on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols.
- Proficient in construction estimating, including experience with HeavyBid software.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation skills for managing contracts related to traffic control services.
- Strong project management capabilities, ensuring timely execution of traffic control plans.
- Effective cost control measures to optimize resources while maintaining safety standards.
