We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller Supervisor Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction sites by managing the flow of traffic and providing clear directions to vehicles and pedestrians. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Monitor and control traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions.
- Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers to assist in estimating construction costs, negotiating contracts, and managing project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Assist in building relationships with contractors and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation is highly desirable.
- Experience using construction management tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam will be an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people on-site.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
