About BAM! Business Art Mentorship: BAM! Business Art Mentorship is dedicated to empowering youth through artistic expression and entrepreneurial skills. We provide a platform for young artists to showcase their talents and learn about the business side of the art industry.
Position Overview: As a Marketing Coordinator with BAM! Business Art Mentorship, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of BAM: to empower underrepresented youth through art and business mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mission of BAM! by empowering underrepresented youth through art and business mentorship.
- Use creative applications such as Canva to design flyers and promotional materials.
- Ensure access to a computer or smartphone with internet connection.
- Proofread and correct information before submitting for approval.
- Submit copy to supervisor for approval by deadline.
- Create promotional flyers and digital media.
- Manage and schedule social media posts and press releases.
- Communicate, write, and present for fundraising or networking purposes.
- Attend outreach events such as art markets, job fairs, and school presentations.
- Make edits to the BamBizArt.org website.
- Oversee tasks for youth marketing interns.
Requirements:
- Represent the BAM! mission to empower others and be welcoming and affirming to all individuals.
- Prior experience in marketing and PR.
- A passion for working with youth.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (preferred).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.
