Job Overview: Transdev is seeking a skilled Transportation Safety Expert to join our team in Rockland County. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for training drivers and other location employees on safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new operators to ensure they are thoroughly trained.
- Supervise students directly and ensure Operator Development Program (ODP) is followed.
- Assist with reviews of Clever Device Events, including counseling of operators.
- Track attendees and maintain training documentation based on regulations and company policy.
- Perform other safety program responsibilities, such as accident investigations and safety meetings.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of training experience and 1-3 years of transportation, safety, or related experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written, and relational communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
