A nonprofit organization, TSI is seeking empathetic and optimistic professionals to assist those with mental illness and/or substance use disorders to achieve recovery. Individuals are given the opportunity to acquire the skills and confidence necessary for independent living. Provides on-site support and supervision to residents in a group home or apartment building setting. Provides instruction with budgeting, community utilization, socialization, use of leisure time and activities of daily living. Provides trauma-informed crisis management and intervention resulting in positive outcomes. Ability to engage group of residents with mental illness and build supportive relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or a minimum of active/current junior standing) in health or human services OR
- Bachelor’s education in any field with two years of paid experience in health or human services or customer service OR
- A Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC); OR
- Associate’s degree in Human Services, plus one year paid experience in health or human services or customer service OR
- High school diploma and three years of paid experience in health or human services or customer service
Must possess valid driver's license, pass required background checks, including drug screen.
