Position Title: Triple P Coordinator Assistant – San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County

Position Summary
The Triple P Coordinator Assistant works closely with the Triple P Coordinator to support families, caregivers, and guardians of children facing behavioral health challenges. Together, they ensure the coordination and facilitation of Triple P classes and activities in San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County. Additionally, the Assistant collaborates with the Family Services Youth Team and other agencies to promote services that foster wellness, recovery, and resilience for children and families.
Hours/ Salary
Part-time, non-exempt position. 20 hours per week. Anticipated hiring wage is $22.00 per hour. Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Coordinate and assist the Triple P Coordinator in facilitating a minimum of 6 Triple P courses per year in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County.
2. Coordinate and prepare all Triple P screenings, surveys, intakes, and mailings in collaboration with the Triple P Coordinator.
3. Enter all Triple P data into ASRA, Apricot, and Apricot FEP, working closely with the Triple P Coordinator.
4. Participate in the monthly California Collaborative Triple P Call alongside the Triple P Coordinator.
5. Collaborate with the Triple P Coordinator and Program Manager in the organization of Positive Parenting Awareness Month with Triple P America.
6. Facilitate the monthly Triple P Support Group in Spanish and English in coordination with the Triple P Coordinator.
7. Provide community outreach and engagement, with a focus on the Latin community, in collaboration with the Triple P Coordinator.
8. Coordinate and collaborate with the Triple P Coordinator in regular promotion and presentations of Triple P.
9. Coordinate and collaborate with other agencies to keep them well-informed about Triple P, working alongside the Triple P Coordinator.
10. Collaborate with the Triple P Coordinator and community partners to foster and strengthen collaborative relationships. Maintain and distribute Triple P brochures and information in the community.
11. Provide education and outreach to the community regarding TMHA Family Services, mental illness, and partner agency services in coordination with the Triple P Coordinator. Outreach may include public presentations, health fairs, trainings, classes, and community events.
12. Attend and participate in regular meetings, including weekly supervision meetings, in collaboration with the Triple P Coordinator.
13. Provide outreach to families and individuals through public speaking, correspondence, and literature (including mailers), conferences, and involvement in stigma-busting campaigns and local awareness activities, alongside the Triple P Coordinator. Outreach may include public presentations, conducting Family Services Trainings or Classes, health fairs, other agency trainings, and community events.
14. Communicate program issues to the Program Manager and work as part of a collaborative team with the Triple P Coordinator, County Behavioral Health, community partners, and TMHA staff.
15. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of participants at all times, in collaboration with the Triple P Coordinator.
16. Promote, encourage and maintain trauma-informed practices in all services and activities. Practice and promote, both individually and in team meetings, TMHA’s Collaborative Communication Guidelines to facilitate clear, empathetic, and person-centered communication, in coordination with the Triple P Coordinator.
17. Meet the required yearly training hours.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Triple P Coordinator or Program Manager.
Job Environment:
1. Moderate, physical activity and frequent driving; may include moving or lifting up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Requirements
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, including basic computer skills. Must be Spanish/English Bi-lingual. Strong public speaking skills. Available to work evenings and weekends. Ability to travel. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style and strong oral, written, and communication skills. Well defined organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and flexibly. Ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision-making skills, and remain calm and clearheaded under pressure. Ability to work well within a team and maintain a professional, respectful attitude in the workplace. Ability to be willing to work with supervisor oversight and direction. Conditions of employment include: Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, at least 2 years driving experience and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize reliable personal vehicle and auto insurance. Must comply with a TB assessment (possibly a TB test if needed to confirm a negative tuberculosis result) and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
