Transpo Industries is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our Team.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility and all manufacturing equipment is maintained and operating to facilitate production schedules. This role will require a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performing routine maintenance in and around the facility and for all equipment
• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Manage routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent and resolve safety or comfort issues.
• Install new equipment and oversee building upgrades according to management requests and to preserve the facility.
Required Skills:
• Practical experience and problem-solving abilities in manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance
• General facilities maintenance and repair (plumbing, heating, a/c, and electrical, and carpentry)
• Groundskeeping
• Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum – high school diploma or GED
Vocational training or similar education in electrical and equipment repair
4 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Hours and Compensation
This is a full-time, hourly position. Typical shift is Monday-Friday 7-3:30, additional hours may be required, to work around production schedules and/or respond to equipment failures or emergencies.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
