We're growing and looking for a dynamic Dispatcher and Scheduler to complement our amazing office team. Our ideal person is honest, cares about people, is able to learn new things quickly, takes initiative and thinks quickly on their feet. This job requires a lot of attention to detail, strong memory and putting out many fires at once. They provide great customer service to our clients, employees, and team members.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Transportation Solutions, is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation provider, corporately located in Walla Walla, WA. We have been in business for over 20 years. We are a small, family-owned business that prides ourselves on providing quality, reliable transportation to clients – getting them to and from their medical appointments. We support our fantastic drivers who cater to medical clients all over Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Excellent Attendance. Being able to show up regularly to their shift. Sometimes being available on the weekends or after hours as needed. Show dependable, satisfactory attendance in previous positions.
Strong problem-solving skills. Our candidate has strong instinct, able to think critically and solve problems in relation to schedules, dispatch and billing for rides, with the Company's priorities in mind.
Strong attention to detail. This person is good at creating checklists to check and double check their errors. They make quality their top priority. They are good at paying attention to the small details, so there is no room for errors. They are able to retain a lot of information such as client and driver preferences and hour restrictions.
Strong ability to multi-task, able to work with frequent interruptions. Able to prioritize and create their own work routine, enabling them to get their projects completed.
Strong customer service skills – helping employees and clients over the phone. At least five years of customer service-retail or call-center phone experience.
Adaptable. Able to learn and back up other departments as necessary. Able to be professional, take direction and constructive criticism from managers and Owners. Able to take on changes to processes and procedures as they occur.
Strong geographical skills. They know how to use Google Maps and have a solid understanding of the geography in the Northwest area. They know how to find the best routes, understand traffic patterns and weather conditions in different areas. They also can commit to memory, where different town and cities are, and how long it takes to get to different areas.
Takes initiative and encourages their team. They are a self starter and manage their work time effectively, meeting crucial deadlines. They look for ways to encourage and help their teammates, working together for success. They are humble and take direction well.
Integrity. They always try to do the right thing, honest and accountable.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs(personal computers, specialized scheduling software, office software including word processing, spreadsheets and database programs in a Windows-based operating environment).
Basic knowledge of Google Suite programs - Familiar and able to maneuver in GMail, Google Sheets, Google Docs etc.
Preferred skills:
Prior call center experience
Scheduling and/or dispatching experience.
Experience managing multiple phone lines.
Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Main Duties of this Position:
Answer a high volume of calls.
Work in a fast paced environment, effectively responding to problems and tasks that arise simultaneously and unexpectedly. Interact professionally and promptly with clients, brokers and drivers.
Create driver schedules, using our dispatching/scheduling software. Prepare and send out schedules to over 60 drivers daily. Schedulers deal with over 300 rides a day.
Dispatch by helping drivers navigate rides and complete their trips. Help prepare and send out schedules to drivers.
Find ways to increase ride volumes in each area, while creating a manageable work schedule for drivers.
Make sure all rides or claims are completed correctly. Itemize and submit all claims to proper brokerages for payment.
Assist with payroll and billing department as needed.
Follow all company policies and protocols.
Keep all Company documents properly filed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
