This compensation range is specific to the State of Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Gannett Fleming TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 - $90,000 annually.

What you'll be challenged to do:
Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for an Architectural Designer based out of our Baltimore, MD, office. In this role, you will support project teams by performing a wide range of architectural tasks from the conceptual phase through construction administration.
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in all project phases, from initial conceptual design to construction administration
- Perform design and technical tasks requiring application of architectural techniques and knowledge
- Conduct research and assist in preparation of studies and reports
- Modify or create construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications
- Prepare graphic presentations and 3-D renderings
- Attend on-site visits, field reviews and construction progress meetings as appropriate
- Participate in team meetings to discuss design and technical issues and coordinate with other design disciplines
- Develop understanding of basic accounting principles, project budget management
What you bring to our firm:
- Accredited degree in Architecture or related field
- On the path to state architectural registration
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design strategies
- Beginning knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner, both verbally and in writing
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
