Veterinary Team Assistant

We are growing and adding a doctor to our DVM team! This means our veterinary support team needs to grow as well! If you are: punctual, dependable, personable, task oriented, and willing to work as a member of the team and make a positive difference then we are looking for you!

This position is between 30-40 hours per week. Candidates are required to be available during the day between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Pay starts at $14 per hour and up, depending on experience. Background check and drug screen required.

Veterinary Team Assistant responsibilities are as follows:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital and outside grounds. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, laundry, stocking supplies, etc.
• Autoclave surgical tools and wrap surgical packs
• Monitor and maintain some inventory to include: food, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
• Assist the medical support team with patient restraint and preparation of medical supplies
• Notify the medical team of unusual patient medical or behavioral problems
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the smooth flow and operation of the hospital

Responsibilities/Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Available to be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm
• Must have computer skills
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment, and be able to manage stressful situations
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Previous experience in the veterinary field preferred
