Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Availability: Must be able to work occasional weekends and attend hiring events or company functions
Pay Rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour (DOE)
About the Role:
Treston Security Services is seeking a highly driven Security Recruiter / Hiring Coordinator to support the expansion and staffing efforts across our client sites in California and beyond. This position is essential in ensuring that we attract, hire, and onboard professional and qualified security officers who represent our core values: professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
You’ll be working directly with Operations, HR, and site leadership to ensure staffing levels meet contract obligations and that new hires are properly onboarded, trained, and equipped for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Sourcing

Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract qualified security officer candidates

Manage online job postings (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Craigslist, etc.) and ensure job descriptions are accurate and appealing

Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications

Schedule interviews with hiring managers and assist with interview coordination
Hiring & Onboarding

Assist candidates through the hiring process, including background checks, guard card/license verification, and employment documentation

Schedule and coordinate onboarding sessions and ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements

Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure records are up-to-date

Issue pre-employment packets and track completion
Community Engagement & Event Participation

Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community functions to promote employment opportunities

Establish and maintain relationships with workforce development centers, veterans' organizations, and vocational schools

Represent the company at community networking and recruitment events when needed (including occasional weekends)
Administrative Support

Maintain recruitment logs, hiring reports, and candidate status trackers

Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a seamless experience

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast hiring needs and adjust recruitment strategy accordingly
Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of recruiting, HR coordination, or talent acquisition experience (preferably in the security, hospitality, or staffing industry)

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ATS/CRM platforms

Knowledge of BSIS licensing and security compliance requirements a plus

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
