We are looking for an experienced Technology Operations Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC, supporting our Bojangles Office Support Center and franchise locations. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical expertise to manage and enhance the company’s technology activities. Working closely with leadership and key stakeholders, this individual will lead initiatives to streamline technology processes and improve digital operations across 56 locations. They will be responsible for overseeing daily IT support needs at the office, ensuring system connectivity, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining technology standards. Additionally, this role will support the implementation of new tools and systems to meet the evolving needs of our company.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
10 years of experience in IT operations, technology management, or a similar role, ideally within a multi-location or franchise setting.
Strong leadership and project management skills with a proven ability to lead technology initiatives across multiple teams and locations.
Proficiency in IT support, troubleshooting, and common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, LogMeIn, and Verifone systems).
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications in relevant areas such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Project Management (PMP).
Experience with POS systems, mobile device management, and systems integration, especially with ATS, Payroll and GL platforms.
Track record of successfully implementing technology projects, including digital transformation initiatives or infrastructure improvements.
Additional Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining high levels of accuracy and security in data management.
Experience in data security and compliance (e.g., PCI compliance), network management, and password security practices.
Willingness and ability to travel to locations as needed to support onsite technology requirements.
General Responsibilities :
Strategic IT Oversight : Lead and manage key technology initiatives to support business growth and improve operational efficiency across all company locations. Collaborate with senior management to align technology goals with company objectives.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting : Provide hands-on support for office and store-level technology, including Verifone systems, DVR and video support, connectivity issues, mobile and laptop troubleshooting, and email setup. Act as the primary point of contact for IT support within the Office Support Center.
System Administration & Maintenance : Ensure continuous functionality of essential systems, including office network, server backups, and security measures. Manage password databases, alarm codes, and technology access for all employees. Develop a detailed understanding of various data / system integrations associated with the weekly payroll process and existing financial reporting software. Support finance team with evaluation, selection, and implementation of new financial reporting software. Maintain a working knowledge of restaurant POS systems.
Vendor & Third-Party Management : Serve as the intermediary between the company and third-party technology partners (e.g., delivery and catering systems, Olo). Oversee daily tasks and ensure third-party integrations operate smoothly, especially for large catering and delivery orders.
Technology Deployment & Training : Oversee the onboarding of new technology and systems, including setting up PCs, laptops, alarm codes, and key fobs for new employees. Conduct training sessions to ensure all employees are proficient with new systems.
Data Management & Compliance : Maintain data accuracy and security by managing digital files and logs, monitoring PCI compliance, and enforcing security best practices. Support HR processes through Paychex integration and E-Verify management.
Project Management : Lead key projects, such as implementing new tablet programs (e.g., iPad and Expo Tablets), Skillsoft, and other LMS systems. Develop timelines, coordinate resources, and track progress to ensure successful and timely project completion.
Documentation & Reporting : Maintain organized records of system updates, support tickets, and performance metrics. Provide regular reporting on IT system performance, compliance metrics, and completed support tasks to company leadership.
Facilities Technology Support : Troubleshoot and support technology in training and conference rooms, including projection systems and internet connectivity, to facilitate smooth company operations and external meetings.
