Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled High School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to integrating vocational skills with math education, preparing students for both academic and career success. Key Responsibilities: • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a rigorous math curriculum that aligns with MA DESE standards and integrates vocational applications relevant to students’ career pathways. • Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, statistics, and practical applications of math in vocational contexts. • Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. • Data: Utilizes student data to improve instruction and student outcomes. • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. • Collaboration: Partner with academic and vocational program instructors to ensure students understand the real-world applications of their math education and to enhance their educational experience. • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and stay updated on current trends in math education and cross-curricular training. • Parent and Community Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and foster relationships with community organizations to support student learning. • Advisory Role: Act as a mentor or advisor to students, assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them in career exploration.
