Qualifications:

General Summary:
The main duty of the residential house manager is to assist the program supervisor to maintain an effective team of direct support professionals. The program coordinator may also provide assistance with living skills development, health maintenance and medication administration, personal care, and behavior development.
The house manager will perform the above in a manner consistent with the mission & philosophy of Tri-Generations. The program coordinator will do so in compliance with directives to include all current & hereafter amended federal, state & local standards, guidelines & regulations which apply to this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program Management- Assists the program supervisor to ensure that the program is operating effectively and required activities are being conducted; ensures that participant needs are being met; ensure documentation is completed that demonstrates the program follows state rules and guidelines; maintain participant files and records; directs the spending of program money, as applicable; reports facility and vehicle maintenance issues, as applicable; responds to participant and program emergencies
2. Staff Management—Assists the program supervisortosupervise the staff and direct their activities with the participants; schedules the staff to meet the needs of the program and ensures that schedules are covered; participates in the hiring process and identify candidates for hire; provides coaching and feedback, and completes staff performance evaluations; disciplines staff members as needed; provides training on participant and program activities; collects, enters, and audits staff timesheets
3. Leadership – Assists the program supervisor tomaintain an effective, working team
4. Advocacy – Assist participants with achieving personal goals; work on behalf of the participants to overcome barriers; help participants to choose, learn and engage in activities of their choice; respect participant’s personal beliefs, choices, and interests; support participants to exercise their rights in all areas of their life
5. Health Maintenance – Provide care and assistance to promote good health; helps participants receive medical care and communicate with medical professionals; administer medications according to physician instructions; record information regarding medication administration, health events, conditions, and status; provide First Aid/CPR and seek medical care and emergency care when needed
6. Personal Care- Helps participants with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, and toileting; assist participants with their mobility including lifting them from a seating or lying down position, helping them walk and maintain stability
7. Communication – Must be able to listen carefully and communicate respectfully and clearly with participants, co-workers and supervisor
8. Living Skills Development – Participate in participants person centered plan development including evaluation, training development, training implementation and documentation; help participants develop living skills such as cooking, money management, household shopping, doing laundry, personal hygiene, etc. as applicable to each participant and facilitate use of community resources for participants desired activities and training.
9. Behavior Development – Serve as a role model and mentor, demonstrating the desired behaviors, and coaches the participants in using approved techniques and strategies; use approved interventions as necessary
10. Operational Support – Maintain cleanliness & upkeep of assigned residential site(s); drive own vehicle or company vehicle to transport participants to their activities; completes tasks that are beyond the participants abilities; follow policies and procedures for handling participants & agency money
11. Professional Behavior – Acts in a professional, legal & ethical manner. Communicates effectively with others; completes training programs, attends required meetings. Demonstrates competence & knowledge on topics required to safely support participants. Maintain confidentiality.
