Our ideal candidate is someone who has auto CAD experience, can work on multiple projects at once, and the ability to think outside the box. Job Overview: Assumes responsibility for the overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality, and project status. Coordinates with multiple SMSC departments, engineers, and contractors to develop and deliver quality projects in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and permit submittals. Develop preliminary project estimates and assist with Capital Improvement Plan development. Provide/develop performance status reports regarding cost forecasts, schedule, and safety for projects.

Preferred Experience:
- Degree in construction management, construction or civil engineering, or related field.
- 4 years of proven experience in project management from project development to project close-out.
- Proficiency and or experience with construction and design software such as AutoCAD (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiar with project management software programs such as Microsoft Project (preferred).
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
- Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
- Ability to work in a wide range of climate temperatures, including excessive heat and/or subzero temperatures.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations, including on feet 25% of time.
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
