The Pool Attendant / Course Runner will fill a duel role during the summer season. As a Pool Attendant, this position will act as a host to welcome members and their guests to the pool area by learning their names, marking who are guests, providing towels and water, and maintaining an enjoyable experience at the pool. As a Course Runner, this position will transport drinks and food when ordered from the restaurant and deliver it out to the members who ordered in on the golf course. This position will also run food to the pool areas, maintain the golf comfort stations, and act as a back up server assistant to the pool when business level demand.

Essential Functions
Pool Attendant
- Prepare towel stand for a day of services at the pool area
- Greet and check in members and their guests as they arrive at the pool for the day
- Learn member and guest names and charge guest fees accordingly
- Offer towels and water to all members, and explain the Watering Hole services available for those unfamiliar
- Maintain a clean an orderly pool area by straightening and wiping chairs, picking up trash, helping to clear glassware and dishes, removing used towels, etc
- Offer assorted amenities to lounging members and their guests
Food Runner
- Pick up food and beverage orders in the kitchen
- Ensure orders are complete and prepared to order
- Prepare food in to-go containers with appropriate accoutrements such as napkins, salt and pepper, plasticware, side sauces etc
- Transport food and drinks to the delivery cart
- Deliver food and drinks to the correct location and member on the golf course or pool
- Stock and maintain the food and beverage amenities in the golf course comfort stations
- Ensure golf course comfort stations are clean, orderly, and presentable
- Stock and maintain comfort station stock room in an clean and orderly manner
Marginal Functions
- Assist the Pool Bartender and Server as needed during busy moments.
- Assist the Food and Beverage Team as requested in the club house as business dictates

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in an outdoor restaurant setting as well as out and about in the club grounds and golf course. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns, as well as weather related obstacles. Frequent hand washing is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This may be a full time, part time, on call, seasonal position with an hourly non-exempt status. Days and hours of work are typically late mornings to early evening shifts and may be adjusted as necessary for business needs. Ability to work weekends, holidays, days, and nights with flexible hours. Schedule is subject to change, and applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments.

Required Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a customer facing position
Preferred Education and Experience
- 19 years of age or older for the purpose of serving alcohol
- Prior experience in a restaurant service position
- Excitement and interest in food and beverage services and related components
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English speaking, reading and writing.
Work Authorization
- Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
