This integration will include all technology applications, data, hardware, and software within a defined implementation timeline. The BSA role will align business needs with technological solutions, ensuring they meet organizational objectives. Building relationships and working closely with stakeholders from various departments is critical to analyzing, designing, and implementing store operation applications that run the business and support business growth.
This role will be part of an expanding Program Management Office to support this multi-year transition and include consultant opportunities as well as consultants who may be interested in permanent positions to further support this growing organization.

Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering:
- Work closely with stakeholders and vendors to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to grocery retail operations and reporting;
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility;
- Collaborate with IT teams and business owners to design innovative solutions that address business needs while leveraging existing systems and technologies where possible.
- Solution Design & Systems Integration:
- Facilitate the integration of grocery retail operating systems (i.e., Point of Sale, Inventory Management, Loyalty) to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization;
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation workflows;
- Recommend and then implement enhancements to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and employee satisfaction;
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle;
- Develop test plans, execute testing activities, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the functionality and performance of grocery retail operating systems;
- Ensure that solutions meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Training & Support:
- Develop training materials and deliver training sessions for end-users to facilitate the adoption of new day-to-day operation systems and processes;
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues and optimize system usage.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate with stakeholders to keep them apprised of progress and manage their expectations regarding project deliverables.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality assurance testing.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, business processes, and user processes;
- Generate reports and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to store operations and provide insights for decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, focusing on grocery retail operations (Point of Sale, Inventory, Operational Reporting, Loyalty).
- In-depth knowledge of grocery retail operation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry-leading software and related technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple or changing priorities effectively.
- Master’s degree.
- Project management experience and certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
