Valley Pools, our new build construction and renovation division with roots dating back to 1967, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Build & Renovation Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of pool construction and renovation projects. This individual will act as the primary project manager, managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring high-quality results that meet our customers’ expectations. Our custom pool designs with proprietary specifications have been loved in backyards for decades and are well known in our existing markets. Our main construction office is currently in Palmyra, PA with additional locations in Harrisburg, PA and Cockeysville, MD.
This role is critical in maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving the profitable growth of our business in partnership with our sales team. The individual will be responsible for project level costing and manage segment-wide key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of pool construction and renovation projects, from initiation to completion.
- Manage multiple builds simultaneously, ensuring each project stays on schedule and within budget.
- Supervise all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to Valley Pools’ quality standards.
Team & Subcontractor Management
- Lead and manage employees assigned to support projects, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely project delivery.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors to foster long-term partnerships.
Customer Relationship Management
- Directs the customer relationship during the build process after the sales handoff.
- Manage scheduling updates and resolve any issues or changes promptly with all involved parties.
- Act as the "face" of Valley, delivering exceptional service and maintaining trust throughout the project.
Growth & Strategy
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop innovative ideas and execution plans to drive business growth.
- Expand Valley Pools into other Trident Service Group markets in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Provide feedback and insights from the field to enhance sales strategies and customer offerings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in project management or construction management (experience in pool construction is a plus).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage employees and subcontractors effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects at varying stages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with customers, teams, and subcontractors.
- Track record of going above and beyond to provide fast, friendly, and reliable service to customers.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Familiarity with scheduling and costing tools and software is preferred.
Location and Other Requirements:
- This is a hybrid role with frequent visits to our Palmyra, PA office; candidates must be located within a [100 mile] radius or willing to relocate.
- This position includes extended hours during peak season and flexibility to handle customer and/or job site concerns at a moment’s notice.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as the position involves visiting job sites and meeting with subcontractors and clients across Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, and Delaware.
- Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and permitting processes in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware is a plus.
