Creative Director
TRIGGER(HOUSE an experiential marketing agency based in Portsmouth NH is on the hunt to add
an experienced creative director to their studios team.
The primary role of this position will be to lead the creative process developing concepts that meet
our various client’s goals and objectives. Our work transcends many disciplines and mediums but
with a focus on the live experience space.
This senior level position will report directly to the ECD, and will be responsible for managing both
internal and external resources at times, as well as working cross functionally with the broader T(H
team.
Experiential Industry experience is a must!
This right candidate needs to be able to develop and present ideas cohesively that meet our ever-
changing client needs. This could range from overarching marketing strategy at the top of the
funnel, to brand identity development, and all the way down to more tangible and tactical consumer
engagement concepts.
Qualifications
Agency experience required, preferably at an experiential agency or from within an experiential division
Demonstrates strong, strategic concepting
Proven track record of delivering a creative project from beginning to end
Experience managing an internal team of more junior creative staff and/or a team of external vendors, freelancers, or partners
Experience developing and implementing ideas and work-flow processes
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees
Comfortable working with production partners and fabrication vendors to execute vision
Has a strategic business mindset and is able to identify areas of potential organic business growth
Has a well-rounded understanding of the roles and responsibilities needed to get a job done
Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with co-workers, clients, partners, and vendors at a variety of levels, across many disciplines
High-level understanding of budgeting, estimating, and agency profitability
Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail
Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills
Demonstrates talent and enthusiasm for the industry with a strong understanding of brands and branding
Actively works to create an inclusive environment that fosters creativity
Employee must be able to thrive in a highly-creative, fast-paced environment; we juggle a lot of projects for a lot of clients across a lot of industries – all at the same time
Employee must be willing to be in the office 2 days per week
Responsibilities
The Creative Director is responsible for conceiving and implementing compelling brand experiences
They must work closely with our Executive Creative Director, while leading a mix of full-time and freelance, mid-level and junior-level creatives
Can take a brief and develop a high-level creative strategy that serves as the foundation for big ideas
Generate strong, impactful creative concepts that deliver creative solutions for client business needs
Actively lead brainstorms and project ideation with cross-functional and junior-level teams
Sell-in ideas internally and externally
Lead client presentations and pitch decks
Work collaboratively as part of a small – but growing – driven team
Brief and inspire designers, partners and vendors to execute the vision
Quickly and confidently implement creative direction and feedback from Executive Creative Director and clients, as well as translate feedback for junior team members
Coach and mentor creatives through cross-functional team building, setting stretch expectations, implementing professional development, and providing accountability
Build new client relationships and grow existing ones
Work with the ECD and cross-functional teams to identify the resource needs of any project
Willing to roll up their sleeves and dig in when needed
Stay up to date with experiential industry trends, client news and innovations, and competitor news
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,663.73 - $90,000.00 per year
