IT Support Technician Opportunity
We are seeking an IT Support Technician for a long-term contract assignment with our direct client in Baltimore County, Maryland.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with customers at all levels, including administrators, staff, students, and vendors.
- Install and support new devices, along with accompanying software.
- Coordinate the repair of student and teacher laptop computers, including performing diagnostic repair procedures.
- Install and configure supported device operating systems.
- Perform routine diagnostics and maintenance with multiple operating systems.
- Install and configure applications and other supported software packages.
- Test new releases for supported systems.
- Provide network support and troubleshooting duties.
- Consult with and train teachers, staff, and students on technology equipment and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Assist teachers with resolving device-related problems.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related technology area.
- Minimum of three years experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining device software.
- Knowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and software platforms.
- Ability to perform technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA, A certification, HP Certification, or other hardware vendor-specific certifications.
