ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR – Awesome Team and Culture!

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable processes including active participation in the day to day tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable team.
• Manage, coordinate and assist the accounts payable team with daily workloads, including the active participation of the day-to-day tasks.
• Guarantee accurate and timely processing.
• Ensure effective internal controls, managing staff performance and maintaining acceptable performance levels.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller and other departments.
• Resolve account discrepancies.
• Ensure all accounts payable transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance
• Investigate any accounts payable issues that arise.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate persistent or unresolved problems.
• Support both internal and external audits.
• Assist in monthly and yearly closing activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-10 years’ experience in accounts payable.
• Minimum of 3 years in an AP lead/supervisory role.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to oversee, direct, motivate and mentor a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong technical skills and database management skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of Sales and Use Tax.
• Knowledge of and compliance standards.
• Team Player.
Target annual salary range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 DOE. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision. Life Insurance, Voluntary Group Term Life, 401k Savings plan, PTO and more.
