Job Summary:
The Associate, Commercial Banking Portfolio will be responsible for analyzing loan documents, identifying triggers, maintaining the Trigger Portal and analyzing trigger impacts related to consent matters. The team is currently involved in several time-sensitive and highly complex projects that dominate the manager’s attention. Backfilling this role quickly is essential for ensuring continued strong performance for the team and successful progress on all projects while appropriately managing trigger risk.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, review, monitor, abstract, and provide analysis (Credit Decisions) for commercial loan Trigger Events such as: lockbox and reserve springing impounds related to leases, deferred maintenance on property, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) triggers, tenant credit ratings, Go Dark tenants and occupancy ratio
- Work with vendor and other CMS teams (Customize Portfolio Servicing, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Asset Management, Real Estate Capital Markets (RECM), Multi-family Asset Management, Assumptions, Leasing, and Modifications) to resolve and provide directions on day to day Trigger related matters
- Identify Trigger Events, escalating to Asset Management Teams and follow-up as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- 6 months of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management
- Experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
