What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Associate position at Trinchero Family Estates?
To assist in the coordination and execution of all Trinchero Family Estates events and ensure all aspects of exceptional customer service are executed in a smooth, efficient, and accurate fashion while providing guest experiences of optimum quality.
Essential Functions:

- Assist the Director of Hospitality and Hospitality Manager in planning and execution of all events at Trinchero Napa Valley and other properties such as Sutter Home, Napa Cellars, Gateway, and Main St.
- Assist the Director of Hospitality and Hospitality Manager with converting and scheduling of booking requests from TFE Sales Force
- Provide service for all meals and meetings for both trade and internal requests
- Assisting with all areas of Hospitality department including culinary, education, scullery, and visitor centers
- Assist the Hospitality Manager in managing wine inventory for department
- Participate in all aspects of event execution from pre-staging, setup, service, clean-up, and breakdown
- Adhere to established service standards as set forth in the training manuals and directives provided by the Hospitality Department’s Management
- Regularly inspect all working areas and request maintenance service when needed.
- Assist in the training of on-call service staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all storage and work areas
- Execute all actions on daily, weekly, and bi-monthly checklists in all locations
- Complete training on Event Box Truck, forklift, and other vehicles to properly transport equipment
- Maintain and promote departmental “green” practices
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma required, two or four-year degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years Hospitality experience, recent experience in fine dining restaurant or banquet events highly preferred
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows
- Able to operate within established budget constraints
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of fine dining caliber food and beverage service standards
- Able to interact effectively with other departments within the winery as well as outside vendors/agencies/customers
- Creativity and the ability to maintain a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
- Regular working schedule (Tuesday – Saturday) to include weekends and holidays
- Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
- Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and retail supplies, setting up for special events)
- Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
- Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
- Washing wine glasses and dishes to keep a clean work environment
- Ability to lift at least 60 pounds
- Ability to work on own for long periods of time
Salary Range: $25.15 - $30.75
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
