What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Trinity Building and Designs?
The DBL corporate family of companies (Douglas Brooke Homes and Trinity Building and Designs) is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. In this role you are responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Generate weekly payable reports from completed jobs.
- Review incoming invoices, comparing to purchase orders to ensure they match
- Work with purchasing department for resolution of invoices that do not align with the purchase orders.
- Submit POs and invoices for approval according to weekly schedule.
- Prepare all lein waivers for weekly check runs and ensure they are signed.
- Process vendor credits.
- Reconcile payable reports and vendor statements monthly.
- Manage records to track NTO’s and lien waivers.
- Maintain vendor records for updated W9, insurance, and licenses.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Staff Accountant.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
- Experience in processing a large volume of invoices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts payable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $20-$23 per hour based on experience
