General Definition of Work
Performs difficult professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing prevention services, managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the LMHP supervisor.
Qualification Requirements

Essential Functions
Performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews; conducts mental health and substance use disorder assessments and monitors level of functioning.
Must complete and submit clinical documents within a 4-6 hour window in EHR.
Assists client in identifying self-determined goals and jointly prepare individualized treatment plan.
Ensure all treatment and interventions are evidence-based and tie back to the individual’s treatment plan.
Uses collaborative documentation strategies to promote shared planning and person centered services.
Interfaces with other service providers and client support systems including medical, behavioral health, direct care providers, etc. to ensure continuity of care.
Provides consultation, education and prevention services.
Maintains all required licenses and training certifications for the position.
Completes assessments across services for intake and determination of appropriate services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of providing care to individuals who may be emotionally disturbed, socially dysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, suffer from mental illness and/or substance use disorders, and their families; thorough knowledge of community resources and human services network.
- Thorough knowledge of community-based behavioral health principles and psychotherapeutic treatment techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of the theories and techniques of counseling and crisis intervention.
- Thorough knowledge of intake techniques and procedures; ability to evaluate and screen clients; ability to prepare adequate records and to report findings and data effectively; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, community partners, medical personnel, law enforcement, State and Federal agency representatives and the general public.
Education and Experience: LCSW; LPC-Master’s degree with coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and considerable experience working with clients with behavioral health, substance use disorders and/or developmental disabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pay: $95.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
