Classification: FLSA Status (Exempt or Non- Exempt)
Non-exempt: Hourly
Job Description: Regularly Maintain Church building, Rectory building, grounds. Set-ups for meeting groups, Sunday service, and special events.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This part-time position requires approximately 40 hours per month
Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Responsibilities:
Non-Scheduled responsibilities:
- On-call response for fire alarm activations (Do not reset alarm until zone is identified by fire department)
- Set-up and break-down for funerals, brunches or other hall rentals
- Stand-by the building to await contractors or specialists
Seasonal responsibilities:
- Snow removal on all walkways, including rectory property - begins immediately after the snow stops falling. If snow melts during the day and temperatures are expected to re-freeze, salt must be applied when the temperatures drop back below freezing on all walking spaces.
- Mop interior floors following foot traffic during winter weather events
- Remove sticks and debris following wind storms around grounds
- Trim hedges and small shrubs around property
- Maintain garden beds around church property
- Ensure thermostats are in working order during winter months
- Install window-unit air conditioners (May) remove air conditioners (October)
- Assist in decorating for major holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
Day-to-day: these tasks can be expected to be needed done on a daily or weekly basis
Regularly check the office calendar to see what groups and or events are scheduled so you can coordinate your cleaning and set-ups to accommodate all events and meeting groups for that week.
- Remove trash all areas
- Empty all dehumidifiers (warm months)
- Clean and stock bathrooms (when needed)
- Vacuum administration office (when needed)
- Salt all entrances and walks (when needed)(winter months)
Sunday:
Any time after 5:00pm (Korean church leave between 4:30 and 5:00 pm)

Kitchen

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. It is essential to be able to move around freely, twist, bend, lift 10 to 20 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform many maintenance duties which include bending and lifting.

Preferred Skills: (not required but encouraged)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and similar fixtures
- Basic knowledge of small engines (snow blowers, leaf blowers)
- Understanding of landscape maintenance
- Understanding of handyman tasks (painting, changing lightbulbs, small repairs, etc)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.10 - $21.02 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
