Trinity Episcopal Church, a vibrant and diverse parish in the heart of downtown Staunton, is seeking a dynamic and organized Communications Coordinator to join our friendly and hard-working team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while managing a variety of communications platforms that engage our congregation and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement Trinity’s internal and external digital and print communications, including the website, social media, 2 weekly service bulletins, 1 weekly bulletin insert, one weekly parish announcement email, special service and funeral bulletins, concert programs and event publicity.
- Report to the clergy and collaborate with the team;
- Participate in weekly staff meetings
- Supervise one off-site designer.
- Work with tools such as Microsoft Publisher, Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, and social media platforms to meet weekly deadlines.
- Redesign of the church website, www.trinitystaunton.org, a major focus for 2025.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and creativity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher, Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, and social media.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with grace and efficiency.
- Experience in digital and print design, and familiarity with website management is a plus.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
A four-day work week is possible if desired, with up to 10 hours per week remote.
