GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher – Trinity High School, River Forest IL Trinity High School in River Forest, IL, is seeking full-time teachers for the 2025-26 school year. The teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities and assessments based on a college preparatory and International Baccalaureate (IB) program. If a teacher is hired to teach an IB course they will be required to attend a virtual or in-person IB workshop during their first year of employment. Teachers are tasked with creating an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity. Additionally, teachers are expected to work together in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) with other teachers and support professionals in a collaborative manner to provide teaching strategies and methods that address a wide range of learning styles, individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity levels of students.
AVERAGE NUMBER OF COURSES TAUGHT
Most academic departments at Trinity offer three types of courses: college preparatory, pre-IB or IB, and elective classes. All teachers can expect to teach at least two of the three types of courses, and a number of positions involve teaching all three. As Trinity High School operates on a 4x5 Block Schedule, all teachers are assigned to teach between three and five different subjects or “preps” over the course of an academic year. Specific course loads will be shared with candidates at the time of the interview.

SUBJECT-SPECIFIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in English (Master’s degree preferred)
- Certification: Illinois Professional Educator License: 9-12
SALARY RANGE
For a first year teacher with no experience, starting salary is dependent on degree: $43,000 - $60,000.
Additional salary premiums available for previous teaching experience, national certifications or professional accomplishments.
