Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks an Administrative Assistant in the Upper School Divisional Office beginning September 1, 2020.
The Administrative Assistant supports and reports directly to the Upper School Principal.
Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. The position requires discretion and the ability to work in a stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess high emotional intelligence, an ability to work cooperatively and generously with a diverse array of contacts, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a sense of humor.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to :
- Keeping track of attendance including follow-up with teachers, parents, and students. Minding attendance phone line and preparation of daily report for deans.
- Working with deans to schedule annual parent conferences.
- Handling confidential information and situations discretely for the Upper School Principal.
- Processing all access to public transportation for students, including student Metrocards and forms for Metro North and Long Island Railroads.
- Assisting with preparation and execution of Prize Day.
- Help to coordinate all Upper School events, such as curriculum night and class evenings.
- Coordinating textbook orders.
- General office duties such as maintaining files, bulletin boards, and office supplies.
