Position Description:
Trinity Valley School seeks a full-time Venue Production Coordinator to join the TVS faculty beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.
Performing Arts Events And Grade Level Performances:
Trinity Valley School hosts 29 unique performance events throughout the school year, and many of these events include multiple performances, utilizing two primary production spaces: the Stephen Seleny Theater and the Black Box Theater. These performances include Middle and Upper School drama department plays and musicals, choral performances, dance and instrument recitals, orchestral performances, and Lower School grade-wide productions.
In addition, the Stephen Seleny Theater is used regularly for Upper School assemblies and other school events such as Meet the Teacher nights, grade-wide end of year celebrations, the spelling bee, and an Upper School talent show. The theater sees use by outside groups as well. These and other events such as Admissions and Advancement sponsored events require video, audio, and lighting support of the Venue Production Coordinator.

- Intelligent lighting systems, lighting consoles, and DMX over ethernet
- Digital Audio Protocols, networking, and data distribution
- Mixing microphones for large-scale events/ musicals
- Digital Audio Consoles
- PTZ Camera systems, operation, networking, and distribution
- Show Control software, networking and data distribution
- Projections, mapping, blending, and distribution.
- Streaming hardware and software
- ETC Family consoles, ETC LED Fixtures, Phillips Showline Fixtures, VL Moving Light Fixtures
- Yamaha CL/QL Series sound consoles
- DANTE Virtual Soundcard
- Bird Dog PTZ Cameras/ Joystick
- ATEM mini pro software
- QLAB use as show control software for Audio and Video - (lighting a plus)
- Hold a bachelor's degree in technical theater or related fields.
- Have significant experience with theatrical lighting and sound work.
- Be comfortable managing a dense calendar of performances while supporting all relevant parties (school colleagues, students, parents, and outside venue users) in the transitions between these events.
- Have experience supervising and mentoring students in theatrical lighting and sound design and execution.
- Fully support the four main objectives of the TVS Mission Statement.

- Executing AV implementation of all TVS Performing Arts productions.
- Creating, updating, sharing, and maintaining a master calendar for scheduling of events and activities in the Performing Arts Center. Coordinate with Facilities regarding processed reservations. And conduct production meetings to aid in the coordination of activities in the PAC.
- Serve on the school’s Calendar Committee.
- Manage facility-related budget/expenses and maintenance/purchase checklist.
- Train designated users on the programming of equipment as needed.
- Keep inventory and manage supply and facility-related items.
- Select, train, and manage technical staff and students to efficiently run PAC minimizing overtime hours and maximizing volunteer opportunities.
- Work with Admissions and Advancement Departments to ensure TVS community and the community at large are informed of performances, concerts, exhibitions, and accolades.
- In collaboration with the Technical Theatre Instructor, maintain best practices for theater and student safety at all times with setup/takedown, rigging, set construction, scenery movement, etc.
- Oversee upkeep and maintenance of Seleny Theater and the Black Box.
- Communicate with TVS facility maintenance department when needed.
- Keep school administration aware of major theater concerns and help facilitate solutions.
- Make sure the PAC facility is up to current ADA and safety codes.
- In collaboration with the technology department, maintain and upgrade facility technology assets.
- Communicate with school theater vendors.
- Coordinate/ advance all technical elements for the annual ISAS Arts Festival.
- Create and maintain a variety of records and reports, including but not limited to an asset management system, hiring forms, injury prevention plans, technical riders, purchase and inventory updates, hourly worker and technical specialist schedules, diagrams, manuals, facility guidelines, and safety reports.
