POSITION SUMMARY :
The Safety Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to support the implementation of TriNova’s Environmental Health & Safety program. Some travel is required between offices. This position reports to the Director of Service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Lead in promoting TriNova’s safety culture.
- Monitor all safety issues and concerns and ensure TriNova’s standards of safety are adhered to.
- Verify all work is performed in compliance with TriNova’s EH&S program and contract safety specifications.
- Assist in the monitoring and provide reporting of safety performance.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, noting safety violations and corrective actions.
- Thoroughly investigate all incidents (including near miss, injury, property damage, general liability) immediately and lead root cause analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serve as the primary point of contact with our 3rd party safety service provider to maintain compliance with PSM, OSHA, and TriNova defined requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Degree in EH&S, or related field, preferred or a minimum 2 years of experience as a safety professional. Safety Coordinator candidates must have a strong understanding and knowledge of the construction industry and jobsite safety requirements, including health and safety hazards, and hazard control. Key competencies are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
