About the position...
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Property Management Division’s accounting staff and assists with administration of all accounting policies and internal controls in support of the organization.
- Oversees the daily activities of accounting staff for the Property Management Division and supports as needed.
- Assists in overseeing the administration of all accounting systems, policies, and internal controls.
- Coordinate, review, and manage:
- Month end close including rebuilds, GPR, management fees, and related tasks completed by PMG Accountants.
- Year-end closing process and year-end work papers preparation.
- PMG bank reconciliations.
- Accounts Receivable including tenant ledger transactions, late fees, delinquencies, reconciliations, and collections.
- PMG accounts payable and the timely processing of invoices
- PMG CAM preparation, letters, follow-up, and estimates.
- Quarterly internal and external financial statements and owner’s reports.
- Coordinates preparation of annual property budgets
- Prepare quarterly NOI Summary of analysis for company leaders.
- Prepare and Compile Quarterly Cash Projection report.
- Provides high level Yardi support and training as needed.
What we are looking for from you...
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or related work experience
- Five years’ experience with property management general ledger accounting, preferably using Yardi software
- CPA is preferred, but not required
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a team of three individuals or more
- Proficient in computerized accounting systems, Adobe, and Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong analytical skills, use deductive reasoning and professional judgment to make decisions and carry out a process
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
