Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to join our Midland, TX field office. This individual will be instrumental in promoting safety initiatives, driving compliance, and cultivating a safety-first culture across our operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who excels in communication, has an eye for detail, and demonstrates a passion for workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies tailored to TRK’s operations.
- Conduct regular safety field audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Lead investigations into events, near misses, and hazards to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the District Managers and operations teams to integrate safety practices into day-to-day activities.
- Oversee employee safety training programs, including onboarding and ongoing education, utilizing tools like safety management software.
- Serve as a resource for employees and management on safety matters, ensuring clear communication and accessibility.
- Maintain and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay current on industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, industry-specific safety regulations, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead safety investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- General understanding of ISNetworld and other TPAs.
- Certifications in: PEC/Veriforce SafeLand, SafeGulf, and/or H2S Clear.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with modern safety tools and methods, including behavioral-based safety programs and psychological safety.
