Duties
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
- Oversee training development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Utilize HR software (Paychex) for data management, hiring and performance tracking.
- Implement OSHA regulations to maintain workplace safety standards.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to inform HR strategies and decision-making.
- Support succession planning efforts by identifying high-potential employees and developing career paths.
- Manage performance management processes, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Assist in change management initiatives to facilitate organizational transitions effectively.
- Engage in social media management to promote the company’s employer brand and attract top talent utilizing our internal program Haystack.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role within a hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with HR software systems such as Paychex is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of NY labor laws and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and analytical skills to support HR initiatives.
- Experience in training, development and performance management is highly desirable.
