Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting in various medical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and be familiar with electronic health records systems such as Homecare Homebase.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and family planning
- Perform basic nursing procedures, including dressing changes and wound care
- Maintain accurate patient records, including ICD-10 coding for diagnoses
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize DME (Durable Medical Equipment) knowledge for patient support needs
- Uphold aseptic techniques during all medical procedures to prevent infection
