Heavy Duty Gear Technician

Summary :

The primary function of the Heavy Duty Gear Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks. Individual will perform a variety of tasks on heavy-duty trucks, large construction vehicles, and buses, specializing in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical gears and gearboxes.

Essential Functions :

• Repair and Maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear, repair engine / driveline / ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs
• Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air system
