JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include:
The OEM Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales at assigned OEM’s. This includes seeking out new account opportunities, designing comprehensive product packages that meet customer needs, managing customer accounts, and maintaining awareness of current market trends and competition. Sales Managers are champions of the products they sell and expected to be fully knowledgeable of the features, functionality, customer benefits, and competitive impact of those products.
- Represent Truck-Lite brands in a professional and upstanding manner to promote sales growth and a positive reputation at assigned OEM’s and across the industry.
- Directly interface with existing and potential customers through various means to promote and sell Truck-Lite products and/or services.
- Develop and execute customer strategy and sales plans for assigned OEM accounts.
- Conduct regular data analysis to identify insights leading to opportunities or the identification of risks. Act on these insights through thoughtful plans, detailed action items and follow-through.
- Communicate proactively with customers to ensure requirements are understood and being met.
- Act as an evangelist and product champion representing Clarience Technologies’ other businesses.
- Obtain and manage bids and special pricing for customers within the territory.
- Regular travel to customer sites is expected. Support needed regional and national industry events as required (NTTC, NTDA, TMC, etc.) and OE specific shows/meetings.
- Develop intimate knowledge of the end users and distribution channels to support aftermarket parts growth.
- Stay current and provide all product pricing information, product operation, and new product training. Conduct technology presentations as needed.
- Complete reports monthly on the status of the assigned OEM’s in the areas of success, failures, needs, and other areas as assigned.
- Represent the voice of the customer and support new product development.
- Negotiate and obtain appropriate approval for all special pricing to customers.
- Actively participate in the establishment of budgets.
- Continually update customer database.
- Any other tasks given relating to the operation and growth of our product line in the territory.
- Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related discipline or commensurate experience.
- 3-5 years’ selling experience in related market, selling structure and/or product area, heavy-duty Truck/Trailer marketing suppliers preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships with individuals at any level of the business, internally and externally, and from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
- Experience in using CRM systems and maintaining up-to-date customer contact and opportunity information to be used in production forecasting, Salesforce database knowledge preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills.
- Independence and motivation to seek out new sales opportunities and grow the sales territory with little direct supervision.
- Curiosity and ability to continually improve product knowledge and skillset.
- Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft applications including Outlook, Work, Power Point, and Excel.
