What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at Truck-Lite Co., LLC?
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the collection of information/communications with HR Training Team members and each facility with inputs from Facility Designees, Plant Manager/Department Managers, etc. on the overall training process.
- Develops professional training content and program materials that support the desired business outcomes.
- Ensures training records are up to date, including tracking and reporting training systems.
- Spends time daily on the manufacturing floor ensuring spot checks are completed on the OJT process.
- Provides complete oversight, maintains, trains, and continuously improves on-the-job training. This includes CPR training, the Train the Trainer course, Lean manufacturing, and all required annual training.
- Generates reports for all training activities and communicates data and results with the appropriate leadership members. Provides summaries of results and drives improvements for areas of opportunity.
- Responsible for data entry of completed training, system changes, and course updates in the training system.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of policies, work instructions, and procedures within the training process.
- Oversees the tracking of new hires to ensure they are property trained for all departments.
- Collaborates with Plant Leadership to ensure that only the best OJT trainers are selected to deliver training.
- Ensures training facilitation, material, and records are in compliance with quality and environmental standards.
- Will provide a high level of customer service to internal customers by demonstrating professional communication skills.
- Have a flexible and adaptable mindset to effectively pivot based on changing business needs and requirements..
- Maintains and delivers consistent new hire orientation.
· Supports the overall HR and Manufacturing team to ensure all employees are trained effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
· At least two years of training experience required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong presentation skills.
· Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
· Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
·Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
· Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
