We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) and Safety Coordinator to join our heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Wenatchee, WA. This role is responsible for HR functions, employee relations, talent acquisition, safety compliance, and OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate has experience in HR and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) within a manufacturing or industrial environment and a strong understanding of Washington state labor laws.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of HR and safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Certifications preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, OSHA 30, OSHA 10.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, employee training, and labor relations.
- Strong expertise in OSHA compliance, workplace safety regulations, and incident investigations.
- Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
Essential Duties:
- HR & Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations, labor relations, and compliance.
- Develop and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting strategies, pre-employment processes, and onboarding.
- Administer payroll and benefits programs; oversee open enrollment and support employees with benefits inquiries.
- Facilitate leadership development, performance management, and employee training programs.
- Plan and coordinate employee events, engagement initiatives, and wellness programs.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Oversee workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, and ISO 45001.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions and process improvements.
- Implement and manage safety program, ensuring adherence to site policies.
- Establish emergency response systems; train employees and conduct drills.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping for HR and safety compliance, maintaining confidentiality.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Safety, or a related field preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
