The Production Administrative Assistant reports to the Processing & QA Division Manager and provides essential hands-on support to plant leaders by preparing, maintaining and disseminating various data to support plant operations and business initiatives. The individual in this role will support leaders in their critical functions of employee communication and engagement through the gathering, posting and updating of key metrics. The Production Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for conducting plant tours. This is a highly interactive role requiring the unique combination of exceptional people skills, excellent communication skills, strong technical and analytical aptitude and thorough knowledge of the programs needed to carry out these duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather information and produce reports to support management in the communication of all divisions’ production goals, objectives, and performance trends
- Work with the Fabrication and Harvest Management team in the completion of daily attendance reconciliation within the time and attendance system
- Conduct plant tours that are professional, engaging, and educational for newly hired employees
- Support and engage plant leaders in conducting plant tours for prospective and existing customers, local leaders, and other outside visitors in close cooperation with those responsible for organizing plant tours
- Assist in product audits, employee safety audits, product cutting tests and other activities as assigned
- Perform back-up reception duties as necessary
- Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Exceptional follow-up skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products with intermediate to advanced skill in Excel
- Excellent attendance record
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High School education
- Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred
