Job Description : Accountant
We are seeking an entry-level accountant to support our accounting and tax functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with preparing financial statements and reports
Perform account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Support the preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Conduct data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information
Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation
Support senior accountants with ad hoc projects and tasks
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks experience)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certificates, licenses and registrations required :
Accounting Software (QuickBooks)
Other skills required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Work experience as an Accountant.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Hands-on experience with accounting software QuickBooks.
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
Experience with general ledger functions.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
