What You’ll Do:
The Head of HR will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource department, ensuring legal compliance, while focusing on the mission and goals of the business.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and support organizational vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Supervise HR personnel and provide expert guidance, while overseeing all the HR department activities.
- Manage human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; employee engagement; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Manages research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS).
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
- Recommend changes in company policies, practices, and resources to senior management.
- Supports management team by providing human resources advice, counseling, and decision-making guidance.
- Develops and implements human resources department budget by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements.
- Manages employee engagement initiatives and performance management programs, measuring team member success and personal development against individual and organizational goals.
- Manages the compensation and benefit strategies/planning with senior leadership, ensuring competitive programs that align to organizational goals and budget, while enhancing the ability to recruit and retain talent.
- Acts as a “Credible Activist” to build relationships of trust and integrity within the team to ensure engaging, fair and compliant employee relations practices.

Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, People Management, or Organizational Leadership required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 10 years of progressive experience managing human resources functions, including strategy development and implementation. International experience preferred.
- Certifications: SHRM-SCP or SPHR required.
- Functional Skills: Experienced with researching, developing, executing, managing and supporting the HR activities and initiatives around Talent Development, Recruiting, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Safety, Payroll, and other HR practices, policies, and processes to ensure compliance within a growing environment. Excellent ability to problem-solve and provide logical, credible guidance calmly to all levels of the organization; great with priorities and project management, prioritization, managing details, execution, and follow-through. Conceptual understanding of a PEO.
- Technology Skills: Experienced with HRIS, Payroll, and other online applications, with the ability to learn proprietary software required; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written skillset; able to present and train/mentor leaders/employees on new HR policies.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrates a high customer-service and support personality who has a strength in educating others towards best practices and creating enhanced solutions targeted towards business goals; forward thinking, with the ability to be discrete with confidential information, who is collaborative and resourceful; is self-directed and works well within a broad set of guidelines. Advises management of obstacles and makes recommendations on thoughtful options based on facts.
