What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager - Mid-Market Sales position at TruPay Corporation?
The Mid-Market Business Development Manager role at TruPay will work a nation wide territory targeting employer groups between 100-1000 employees. We are looking for dynamic individuals that can work in a fast-paced quota driven environment, while utilizing a consultative approach to their sales process. You will be responsible for self-generating leads through prospecting, telemarketing, and sales database management to achieve monthly and annual sales quotas.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify potential clients through networking, prospecting, telemarketing, and sales database management
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with referral sources, like CPA’s, banks, and brokers
- Demonstrate the TruPay sales process by consistently utilizing strategic selling analysis and process
- Meet or exceed agreed upon sales activity and sales targets
- Record all sales activity in our sales management and CRM tools (HubSpot)
- Prepare and present proposals, as well as, provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process
- Determine prospective customers’ need for Payroll, HCM and more, followed by presenting TruPay services to meet those needs
Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Education and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a quota-driven, business to business position
- Excellent prospecting and new business development skills
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections throughout the sales cycle
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong listening skills and ability to form relationships with senior decision makers
- College degree strongly desired
- Financial and criminal background check required
