People Services Director
Location: Kennewick, WA
Job Summary:
The People Services Director will oversee and enhance employee relations programs, HR compliance, talent management, and policy development. This role will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging workplace culture while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in union environments and healthcare settings, working closely with senior leadership to shape workforce strategies and employee experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies, policies, and programs.
- Lead HR compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with leadership to support staffing, recruitment, and talent retention efforts.
- Oversee compensation structures, salary administration, and workforce planning.
- Manage performance evaluation processes, coaching managers on best practices.
- Investigate workplace concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters, providing recommendations for resolution.
- Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
- Provide training and guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance.
- Oversee HR budgeting, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Supervise HR team members, providing leadership and professional development opportunities.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in employee relations.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Prior union experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
