We are currently seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead the HR function for our NOVO Health Services business offering linen management solutions to the healthcare industry. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, NOVO keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO’s wide range of service programs give customers a variety of options for a seamless, single source distribution system. NOVO’s regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes in multiple locations throughout the Northeastern, Southern and Midwestern US.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Novo CEO and with functional accountability to Tuckahoe’s CHRO, the VPHR will support operating company leadership on the design and execution of HR strategies to drive desired business outcomes. This position oversees a business unit HR team, facility-based HR managers and works closely with Tuckahoe’s HR Shared Services staff which provides payroll, benefits and HRIS (Workday) administration support across Tuckahoe’s portfolio companies. This position will be based in the Atlanta, GA business headquarters and require an annual average of 25-30% travel.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a thought partner and advisor to senior and mid-level operating leadership on all aspects of HR strategy, HR policies/practices, workforce initiatives and HR compliance.
- Develop, communicate, interpret, and administer HR and organizational policies and ensure consistency in application across the businesses.
- Create and implement effective recruiting practices designed to source, hire, develop and retain a high quality, stable workforce.
- Oversee the design and implementation of talent management programs, including performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and career growth initiatives.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization, ensuring employees have the tools and resources to succeed in their roles and grow within the company.
- Lead the development and execution of strategies to build strong leadership pipelines at all levels, with a focus on developing future leaders.
- Coordinate the annual performance evaluation process, including template development, communication, training, and monitoring for quality, consistency, and completion.
- Ensure the Novo HR team is following established practices, policies, and processes at all locations for such things as pre-employment screening, onboarding (including I-9 and E-Verify), corrective action, reasonable suspicion testing and reasonable accommodation.
- Ensure that annual merit increase processes, market adjustments, and other compensation programs are administered using fair and consistent methodology; also, that commission, bonus, and other incentive plans are documented and administered in accordance with established parameters.
- Advise operating company managers and HR Representatives on the resolution of complex employee relations matters, including providing counsel on appropriate levels of corrective action when necessary.
- Develop or source, coordinate and/or deliver formal and informal training on topics such as leadership, harassment and discrimination prevention for employees and managers, interviewing skills, delivering feedback, conducting performance reviews and human resources compliance and related laws.
- Promote a culture-driven organization by being a culture champion and ensuring core values fit in all HR and company related activities.
- Collaborate with leadership on developing the HR budget. Manage the HR budget to ensure costs are maintained appropriately
- Lead human resource initiatives related to new business acquisitions, integrations, reductions in force, and site closures; perform other duties and projects as assigned, or as proactively identified in managing the human resources activities of the businesses.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Twenty years or more of related experience in the field of Human Resources.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS (Workday platform experience highly preferred) and proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Broad generalist knowledge and experience in all human resource disciplines with an emphasis on employee relations, compensation, recruiting and employment related law.
- Ability to partner with and influence people through strong interpersonal skills as well as interact/engage effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively at the operational level as well as think strategically.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and earn the trust/respect of both operating and functional leadership.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA or Master's degree in HR or Organization Development considered a plus.
- PHR/SPHR Certification strongly preferred.

Pay: $185,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
