What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Development Specialist position at Tulane University Staff?
The Talent Development Specialist is critical in contributing to and supporting the development, implementation, promotion, and ongoing monitoring of talent development programs and initiatives to drive an engaged and enabled workforce to deliver against the University's strategic plan and align people practices with institutional values. This position requires a creative and analytical thinker with strong technical expertise, instructional design capabilities, and a commitment to supporting a diverse university community. The specialist will also assist in administering mandatory training and addressing community needs related to the Oracle Learning Management System (LMS) and provide backup support for orientation programs.

- Bachelor's Degree in, Human Resources, Education, Communications and Marketing, Business, Psychology or a related field
- Experience in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles, knowledge of performance improvement methods and techniques, and familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Oracle LMS).
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, best practices, and toolsets.
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Communications, Marketing, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in talent development, instructional design, or a related area.
- Experience teaching, facilitation, consulting, coaching, program development, and supervisor skills.
- Professional Human Resources, Talent Development, and / or Training certification.
