Position Overview:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing department staff, administering pay changes, benefits, leaves of absences, and enforcing company policies and practices within the dealership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises Human Resources Generalist & Onboarding Specialist.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance feedback.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current and future business needs.
- Provides support and guidance to HR team, management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages job postings for the dealership and updates postings are business needs require.
- Oversees complex disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Completes annual/quarterly reporting to appropriate government agencies.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law.
- Performs other related duties consistent with the role and function of the specification as assigned. This does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties.

Required Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of three years’ experience of human resources management is preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
